Fireplace Surrounds
Tell Len about your projectFrom the brief to the built work.
- The challenge
- These archive examples explore how a metal surround meets a firebox and the surrounding wall.
- Breuder’s work
- Breuder fabricated and installed custom steel surrounds and decorative panels.
- The result
- The photographs show an installation detail and finished surrounds in different interiors; they are not one commission.
This is a selected archive of Breuder fireplace metalwork, rather than one named commission. Client and location records were not retained with the photographs.
The work includes custom steel surrounds and decorative panels. The shared design question is how the metal meets the firebox, wall, and surrounding finishes. The installation image makes those junctions visible.
The finished photographs show different treatments of a hearth, including a dark panel and a surround in a traditional interior. They demonstrate material and proportion choices without attributing the work to an undocumented client or location.
